Thursday Love List

To continue my Thursday Love List series, here are a few of my favorites from this week!


After drooling over this gorgeous J. Crew necklace for a few weeks, I decided purchase it...and now, I'm in love! I've already worn it a couple of times and look forward to incorporating it into a few other pieces in my wardrobe. Cute, don't you think?

 

Lancome, Wannabe- cream muted purple-magenta.I've been wearing this smooth fuchsia color a lot over the last couple of weeks. It has a great finish and couples well with many spring season colors!

 

I've been listening to the duo, The Civil Wars for a while now, loving their tight harmonies and incredible sound. It was only over the last couple of weeks, however that I fell in love with their song "Falling". It is absolutely beautiful! Check it out here. You won't be disappointed!

Music Festival Favorites

Midway through another 12 hour work day, I received an email from Madewell reminding me to start purchasing pieces for the upcoming music festival season. Seeing this email made my mind wander to some amazing tickets that I purchased last week for an acoustic Ben Harper concert in Chicago in September. While the concert is still a few months away (can it please be September already?!), I can't help but think about what adorable outfit I'll wear! What's your favorite summer concert attire? Monday Pick-Me-Up!

Happy Monday, friends! Did you have a nice weekend? Mine was filled with great music, tons of laughter, and a lot of lounging (and I mean a lot). It was so wonderful to unplug from everything for a bit and enjoy my weekend--it was JUST what I needed. Here are a couple of Monday Pick-Me-Ups to brighten your day!


Meet Otter. I spent my weekend with this cute pup and his owner B. Isn't he adorable?! Your day has to be better after looking at those big brown eyes!

Otter loves: chasing squirrels, being hyper, looking like a Muppet, and giving pathetic/adorable glances.

This might be more of a Monday Pick-Me-Up for me rather than you, but I got a mandolin over the weekend! Learning how to play a new instrument made my 2012 list, so when I found out my great-grandfather played I knew the mandolin was what I wanted to pick up. I happened to mention this to some very musical and incredibly lovely family friends, and when I saw them on Friday evening they gave me one! Isn't she beautiful?...I'm so excited to learn!

Weekend Wear

This dress would be perfect for what's supposed to be (minus a small chance of rain) a beautiful weekend. There's nothing I love more than a comfy, yet adorable dress when the weather warms up! My weekend is going to be filled with a lot of friends, music, and laughter. I hope that yours is as wonderful as mine!

Thursday Love List

I don't know about you, but Thursday is my favorite day of the week...well, next to Friday of course. It's the day that always puts a little pep in my step knowing that the weekend is just around the corner! Inspired by my favorite day, I'm going to start a "Thursday Love List" series to highlight a few things that I'm loving each week. Here are my first three Thursday Loves!


I've had my eye on this amazing Jess LC bracelet for a few weeks now. These bright pink links would be perfect paired with a gold watch or chunky bracelet this summer! I already own a couple of Jess LC pieces that I love so it's a must have, don't you think?

After a 5 year break, The Shins released their new album Port of Morrow. The first release from the album "Simple Song," is a great little tune that has had me tapping my toes at work all week! Take a listen here.
